Overview

Lilgap Qěd Znǐnzìq was founded durring the late 16th century in winter of the year 1465, by Xi-27x 'Z-2'. The establishment of Lilgap Qěd Znǐnzìq was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Xi-27x 'Z-2' electing to pay people to resettle in Lilgap Qěd Znǐnzìq.

Lilgap Qěd Znǐnzìq was built using the conventions of KLEO durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Lilgap Qěd Znǐnzìq is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.

Lilgap Qěd Znǐnzìq is buildings are arranged arround a single restrictive baked earthen mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the city a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The city resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. The robustly designed timber walls have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

A look around Lilgap Qěd Znǐnzìq shows Lilgap Qěd Znǐnzìq is little more than a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Birbes can be seen changing hands openly, such that it must be customary to do so and must have been for a long time. The locals have no fear, no annoyance at the state of things, it simply is.

Cultural Notes

Lilgap Qěd Znǐnzìq has a long tradition of martial expertise. This may be a crisply-organized history of skilled native levies, or it may be a natural belligerence in the people that leaves them familiar with bloodshed. While their neighbors and liege doubtless respect their talents, this very aptitude might make them more willing to turn to steel than prudence would advise.

Lilgap Qěd Znǐnzìq's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.
